       Honour Our Planet Earth

FLASH MOB CERAMIC ART PROJECT

Aim: To create a ceramic art installation as a ‘flash mob’ featuring hundreds of small ceramic figures to symbolize a show of unity and HOPE for the future of our world. The idea being that as one we are weak, but together we are strong, United. Together we can create positive change and Honour Our Planet Earth.

How: This will be a Collaborative project with invitations to All Artists from all over Australia, both Indigenous & Non-indigenous Artists, ceramic & non-ceramic artists,  to contribute a piece displaying their own message of HOPE.

To register an expression of interest to participate in the project
please send an email to: cnc@earthfirespirit.com
or contact us for more details.

We will also be holding selected workshops to facilitate the making/decorating of the figures - stay tuned.

The Brief: The pieces must be ceramic, any clay body is acceptable but they must be sturdy, easily transportable & suitable for outdoor installation ie; weatherproof.

The idea is to use a tube shaped body with a ball shape as the head.  They must be freestanding with a centre hole for inserting a metal spike (for installation purposes) and must be approx. 30cms high.

They can be left undecorated, have your own message of HOPE or any other type of decoration on the surface.
(Environment, Reconciliation, World Peace, etc.)

Anyone unable to get hold of clay or a kiln have options too - you can wait for our workshops - or request a blank bisqued figure to glaze/underglaze or a fully fired blank to decorate as you wish!

Please note: YOU MUST READ OUR TERMS and CONDITIONS BEFORE TAKING PART IN THIS PROJECT.

Please be aware that All works submitted will be retained by the Flash Mob Art Project for the life of the project (possibly years, or even forever...) unless expressly stated otherwise by the artist, in which case the artworks will be returned at the artist's expense.

Where: To be a true ‘flash mob’ the installation will take place in a public arena – watch this space !!!

Submissions will be made to several galleries to exhibit the work after the initial ‘flash mob’ takes place.

Photos of all figures will be posted on our on-line gallery once they are received.

When: Once we have accumulated enough figures we will go forward with the installation of our Flash Mob and invitations will be sent out to participate in this unique event!

This is a Collaborative Art Project.
This project merges the borders and blends the boundaries of traditional visual art, installation art, performance art, collaboration and participation -
.....and liberates art from the confines of conventional art galleries!
